About Me
For my 25 year career, my professional experience has been in various levels of education as a teacher, mentor, coach, and current higher education program manager. I earned my Masters of Science in Educational Psychology in 2004 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a focus on school and community counseling. I chose to continue teaching after obtaining my masters and eventually transitioned to coaching and mentoring new educators. Over the course of 10 years, I continually practiced coaching cycles, effective feedback, goal setting, and accountability. Through this work, I learned a great deal about myself and have significantly improved my relationships with family and friends through what I learned. I am also in the process of completing my life coaching certification as well.
I have lived in Wisconsin for most of my life. In my free time, I love watching basketball and football, am a pet lover, taking long walks around my neighborhood, and trying new restaurants. Food is one of my love languages.
I continue to work on myself because I don't believe we are ever fully "healed" and life will continue to test us, but we can learn how to respond differently and make different decisions. I believe we can all experience joy, love, and fulfillment with the wisdom we have gained from life challenges.
